We are very excited to announce that Head 2 Hoof Sync will be bringing over Dr Kerry Ridgeway from The Institute of Equine Therapeutic Options USA to PERTH!
Wow! What an incredible week it has been!!
I feel so privileged to have been able to spend this entire week with the greatly respected Dr. Kerry Ridgway and his lovely wife & partner in crime, Christine.
The 4 day Principles of Saddle Fitting Dynamics course ran perfectly with a wonderful group of students at Frances Woods' beautiful facilities. Dr Ridgway shared with us his wealth of knowledge, enabling us to provide solutions to some real life cases as well as take home in...valuable lessons and experiences we shared on the 4 days.
Personally for me Dr. Ridgway has joined the dots once again to so many issues that we come across with both saddle fitting and what we naturally see presented in the horses' bodies.
The rest of this week has been an amazing experience personally watching Dr Kerry Ridgway doing some one on one consultations on horses proving just how important, laterality, straightness and proper rehab and training is in the ridden horse. And what an incredible way of looking at the movement, function and fascia lines in the horse's body!
A huge thank you to all the students for being such a wonderful group to deal with and spend time with over the course, Frances for her lovely facilities, my amazing mother for making sure we were all well fed with the best catering and dad for helping make sure all our technical things were working, and lastly to Dr. Kerry Ridgway and Christine for making the trip over to share your all of your amazing knowledge with us and I know everyone is eagerly awaiting for you to return to Perth again!
This entire year has been an incredible learning curve since meeting Dr Kerry Ridgway, in understanding and learning a whole new way on how the horse's body functions and in turn being able to offer the best solutions and treatments possible!
We will definitely be looking forward to spending more time with The Institute of Equine Therapeutic Options in the future!

Equine Body Assessment & Pain Referral Patterns
3 DAY WORKSHOP
April 27th, 2018 – April 29th, 2018
This 3 day workshop focuses on teaching vital assessment techniques involving the entire horse’s body including looking at the hooves, joints, tendons, saddle fit, dental comfort, presence of foregut and hindgut ulcers and the muscle pain patterns associated with these. These are unique techniques you can utilise to improve the health and performance in your own and client’s horses.

Have you ever wished that your horses could talk to you and tell you exactly where the pain or issue is? This is your opportunity to discover your hidden senses when looking at our equine friends and athletes in a different light to finally understand what they are trying to tell us!
During this practical workshop you will not only learn techniques on how to recognise a horse’s specific discomfort, but also be able to trace it back to the original source (hooves, saddle, ulcers, teeth, or joint) using specific muscle pain referral patterns which have never been mapped before in the equine body.
